How media ready are you?

Magnifying Glass

Please be patient. This tool may take a minute to load all three of the windows below.

Following is a self-diagnostic tool to help spokespersons judge just how ready they are to deal with a call from a journalist.  It encompasses three areas: 1. Knowledge and Skills; 2. Experience and Confidence, and 3. Tools Available. There are ten questions in each section and the process should take around 5 minutes.

If you wish to receive a copy of your results by e-mail, enter your e-mail address at the end of each series of questions (optional, leave blank if you don’t want the e-mail) . You will receive one results e-mail for each category. You can also subscribe to our mailing list.

Within each window, use the scroll bar on the right to answer all of the questions and then click on Submit.

Your Diagnostic Code

Your diagnostic code is comprised of the letter score for each category in order. For example, if you scored P (“possibly”) in Skills and Knowledge, N (“no”) for Confidence and Experience, and Y (“yes”) in Tools Available, your diagnostic code is PNY. This code is useful when enrolling in an RMA training program.
